The new decade heralded the arrival of a new premier league – the Home Counties Premier League. Radlett took their place as one of the 10 clubs in the top division and played their first match, at Cobden Hill on Saturday 13 May 2000.
Wickets were hard to come by as Reading ground out 230-3. In reply, Radlett were going well with only the loss of Nick Fielden (15) and Scott Moffat (13). The match ended in a draw with Radlett reaching 202-2, Matt Evans (106*) and Kaf Jahangir (48*).
