On Sunday 24th August, with weeks running out until the end of the season, Radlett and Sawbridgeworth finally managed to play last year’s cup final.
Batting first, Sawbridgeworth were under pressure throughout and could only manage to crawl to 127 all out in 43.5 of their 50 overs. There were 4 wickets for Kabir Toor and two each for Stuart Browne, Matt Creese and Shane Burger.
In reply, Toor was run out early giving Sawbridgeworth some hope. Fraser Crawford was caught for 38 before Jonathan McLean (31*) and Burger (40*) saw the side to victory with 26.4 overs to spare.
